Automatic Battery Water Topping System

Motive power batteries lose deionised water during recharging and require regular topping with demineralised battery water. The fastest, safest and most accurate way to achieve this is by using an automatic battery water topping system.

The AquaPro single point battery water topping system fills all the cells in the battery simultaneously and can operate from either low pressure or high pressure water supplies, this allows AquaPro to be used on new installations or to extend existing automatic filling sites without the need for new battery water supply equipment. AquaPro can also be supplied direct from the AquaStation water deioniser, removing the need for expensive plumbing installations or large water trolleys.

AquaPro is manufactured from highly resilient Polycarbonate, making components virtually indestructible and far less susceptible to damage in use than the weaker ABS and Polypropylene caps on the market, resulting in reduced after sales costs and instances of leaks and overfilling due to damage.

To avoid the need for additional electronic electrolyte level indicators each AquaPro cap has a built in indicator to monitor the electrolyte level in each cell and has access for a hydrometer to take electrolyte SGs without the need to remove the cap from the cell.

Deionised water is supplied to the battery via the unique AquaPro “All-in-one” filter, flow indicator and quick connector.

AquaPro caps are connected in a series loop and there is no limit as to how many caps can be connected in a series. This configuration speeds battery topping, reduces the number of hose connections, greatly simplifies the plumbing layout and supplies battery water from two directions ensuring battery topping of all cells takes place even if a hose is crushed restricting water flow.

With an operating range of 0.7psi to 45psi. AquaPro has the largest operating pressure range and highest flow rate of any automatic battery topping system on the market, this allows AquaPro to be used with existing water supply systems; be they for high or low pressure systems. At low pressure AquaPro tops twice as fast as the market leader low pressure system and at high pressure 10% faster than market leading high pressure system.

AquaPro Caps are available in a full range of fittings to suit all European, American and Japanese 2 volt cells and monoblocks, and for installations where hydrogen generation produced during recharge is a problem, a “gas extraction” version is also available.

Floats

Floats for the AquaPro cap are available in 8 different lengths in 5mm steps to suit the battery being topped. These Snap-On floats are interchangeable allowing for easy installation and give precise topping to the battery. The 24 mm diameter float is the standard used on all 2 volt cells and most monoblocks but where the standard float is not suitable special floats are available for use. For example on the ¾ inch threaded vent and ¾ inch push fit vent where the opening is too small to allow the standard float to be inserted in to the battery. All floats are made from highly durable polycarbonate and are color coded and numbered to make it very easy to distinguish the float length without measuring.

Consisting of male quick connect coupler and Walther style female coupler with combined, flow indicator and filter. Manufactured in impact resistant Polycarbonate.
